About Little Indie Beauty

Little Indie Beauty is Australia and New Zealand’s sweetest skincare destination for spontaneous, conscious consumers who celebrate the new. Stocking bespoke, clean skincare collections (that actually work – no joke), we’re committed to creating fun, fresh and downright delightful skincare adventures for you.

Founded by Wellington local, Megan Stratford, Little Indie Beauty unlocks the hidden gems inside the world of indie beauty. Megan craved an online space that supported small businesses, told their stories and made it easy to find the best in indie beauty (products that actually worked).

At Little Indie Beauty we fill our online emporium with newly launched independent brands who do things differently. Be it the latest science-driven formulations, natural skincare, sustainably sourced ingredients, or new botanical extracts, each product is hand-picked based on performance. Beauty lovers like you come to us for the latest in indie brands revolutionising the clean skincare scene.

By teaming the latest performance-focused releases with their creation stories, we’re committed to growing a like-minded community that connects innovative beauty entrepreneurs with their savvy customers. Why do we do what we do? To give a voice to creative beauty startups, to embrace our creators and to tell their wildly intriguing stories. All while helping you unlock the door to the very best in indie beauty.

New collections are released throughout the year. This way, you experience new skincare adventures all year ‘round. Mind = Blown! Each new release comes with its own little indie chapter, AKA interesting stories from the product creators where we learn about who they are and why they do what they do.

We invite you to indulge in a fabulous skincare fling. Get over here you – it’s time to meet your new beauty heroes!

Doing good

Here at Little Indie Beauty we believe that we all have a role to play to make the world a better place. Hey, we’re planet and people lovin’ beauties, like you!

Sustainable packaging

We have carefully selected what we use to send our indie beauty goodies out to you.

You won’t see no plastic packaging here, nope. We use:

  • Cardboard boxes made from sustainably harvested New Zealand pine
  • Compostable, water soluble packaging peanuts (aka pop starch) that keep your indie beauty bottles safe in transit
  • Compostable courier bags

Glass vs plastic for beauty products

We're excited to offer you brands that choose to use glass for their bottles of indie beauty magic. But, not all brands do yet, and often for good reason. Glass bottle technology does not yet allow for airless pumps - these are the guys that allow products to contain no or only few preservatives. And no one wants beauty products that go off at the drop of a hat!

Rest assured that Little Indie Beauty will continue to introduce more sustainable beauty products over time, as the industry moves. And we will always offer you choices over your bottle type - simply search for ‘sustainable’ in the search field, and you will find our glass bottled goodies.

Doing good for people

Little Indie Beauty is committed to partnering with little indie charities from time to time. We will announce these collabs on our social media and you can find them on our website. We love to shine a light on what others are doing to make the world a better place for all our beautiful people. Follow us on Instagram to find out who we are partnering with and how you can get in on the action.
